Nugent: Budget deal should suspend welfare recipients’ voting rights (via Raw Story )

Would that include suspending voting rights to all those living in States that receive wellfare? To corporations receiving wellfare?

What a nut.

Yeah, I put these up because Nugent, Palin, etc. speak for a lot of people, most of whom are not the sharpest tacks. But these are the memes that are getting media attention and capturing the framing.

There was a letter to the editor in the Cedar Rapids Gazette (conservative paper) complaining that Obama had bought the election with food stamps. The editor apparently found it reflected enough public opinion to print it. And this is a section of Iowa that voted for the president.
