Like George Lakoff has been saying. Liberals need to lead with moral arguments as conservative do, instead of leading with reasoned argument. The heart trumps the head in persuasion. Save reasoning for justification of moral argument.

There's no reason to doubt that these differences are real. But the new study suggests that in spite of them, both the left and the right can get very fired up about politics. And when they let their deep-seated moral emotions drive their political views, they may do so with equal zeal.

authority? check, and I cant stand libertarians...
tribalism? check, humanity is manifestly divided into sub-groups...
emotions of disgust? check, I am definitely disgusted by current operations...

Tom I dont know what the Dems are worried about with all of this... if they wouldnt have botched the "Obamacare" implementation so badly, they probably would be ahead by double digits...
My advice to Dems would be to forget the "framing" and fix "Obamacare" pronto... its the best thing they can do... IF they can and that is a BIG 'IF"...
They ALREADY HAVE the vote wrt the "nurturant parent" cohort LOCKED...
What they need to do is establish technical credibility wrt the design and operation of their "nurture systems" which they are FAILING miserably at right now....
Fix the 'Obamacare' and all of this goes away.... they need to get the right people working on it...
which looks hopeless as i think the Dems being the "nurturing types" are just incapable of implementing and running anything complicated.
Ideally this would work where you get the GOP "strict father' types to design and operate it and get the 'nuturing mother' types to work within it.... and BOTH SIDES GET PAID WELL for performing their part while keeping the rent-seekers the f**k out of it entirely...
