How Usefully Does This Education Quote Apply To Personnel Systems And Electorates As Well?

   (Commentary posted by Roger Erickson)

We could add a few things to this, for application to cultural aggregates, and to our MiddleClass - since solutions to all aggregate challenges are recognized in the field, and perfected on the training ground.

"If an aggregate lives with diverse interactions,
it develops the capacity to sense and explore options?"

(Ditto for an aggregate that maintains adequate liquidity - by fiat?)

IF a child lives with criticism,
.......HE leans to condemn.

IF a child lives with hostility,
.......HE learns to fight.

IF a child lives with ridicule,
.......HE learns to be shy.

IF a child lives with shame,
.......HE learns to feel guilty.

IF a child lives with tolerance,
.......HE learns to be patient.

IF a child lives with encouragement,
.......HE learns confidence.

IF a child lives with praise,
.......HE learns to appreciate.

IF a child lives with fairness,
.......HE learns justice.

IF a child lives with security,
.......HE learns to have faith.

IF a child lives with approval,
.......HE learns to like himself.

IF a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
.......HE leans to find love in the world.

ps: Yah gotta wonder why Dorothy didn't apply this to the generic child, instead of only boys?

ps: ps: Were Dick Cheney's parents ogres? How about all NeoCon parents?

Certainly relates to the Freudian concept of the superego. How the superego develops determines one's conscience and moral standard.

This is a current psychological account of the authoritarian personality, too, i.e., strict father v. nurturing mother as role model.

Do aggregates, electorates and nation have SuperEgos?

Or only multiple - even completely split - personalities?
