Joseph Stiglitz — The current economic malaise is the result of flawed policies

...our current difficulties are the result of flawed policies. There are alternatives. But we will not find them in the self-satisfied complacency of the elites, whose incomes and stock portfolios are once again soaring. Only some people, it seems, must adjust to a permanently lower standard of living. Unfortunately, those people happen to be most people.

Yes, yes, and meanwhile, no BETTER policy will actually be allowed until all the egos sort out who gets ALL of the credit for pointing out that the emperor has no flawless policies.

What part of TEMPO don't these Nobel Prize winning academics understand?

The part where academics have to stand around, begging for a living-wage handout of their own, aggregate fiat?

Weepin' Eccles on a Gold Std! This endless "credentialed" regurgitation of common sense has to get the @#$%^&! OUT OF THE WAY!
