Americans should be familiar with Strelkov. Replace Putin through "regime change," and this is who the West will likely get to deal with next. He is strongly nationalistic, traditionalist, Orthodox, and a monarchist. He is also a plain speaker that never minces words. In addition, he is an experienced military commander and strategist. And Russians, excepting liberals and oligarchs, love him.
As for the dilemma Putin now faces in the biggest challenge of his presidency, Strelkov said it’s all or nothing:
“The war we entered, whether we wanted it or not, will either bring about Russia’s destruction or the resurrection of our national elite.”Russia Insider
