Earlier today we reported on India, Pakistan an Iran ready to begin their ascent into the China-Russia lead SCO. Moments ago, Egypt jumped on the Eurasian train, inking more than $4.5 billion of trade deals with Russia and a huge free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Best of all, no austerity is required in order to join this union…the EU may want to take notes.Red Pill Times

However, the Egyptian regime is a pretty nasty piece of oppressive work.
Egypt is a joke. Its economy is like the size of N. Carolina. Some alignment, Russia. Impressive. Jeez. Russia doesn't need no stinkin' alignments with two-bit dictatorships. The Russians just don't get it. They're prisoners of themselves.
Russia would like to replace the US as arms supplier with less expensive but comparable equipment and better terms and without the political strings.
I never realized there were strings attached to US military aid for Egypt.
