Erik Loomis — Lindsey Graham: Fascist

It used to be that to call a Republican politician a fascist was rank hyperbole, even if they were right-wingers.But in the 2016 Republican primary, fascism is evidently Lindsey Graham’s strategy:
And here’s the first thing I would do if I were president of the United States. I wouldn’t let Congress leave town until we fix this. I would literally use the military to keep them in if I had to. We’re not leaving town until we restore these defense cuts. We are not leaving town until we restore the intel cuts.
Calling in the military to force Congress to pass a particular program that, not coincidentally, funds the military? That actually is fascism...
Of course, he was "only kidding."

Yes Tom, the liberals usually want to frame fascism as nazism. Nationalist socialists are considered fascist by many but It was Stalin and generally speaking countries accossiated with Russia who considered national socialist fascists because Stalin didn't want to call them socialists.
Franklin D. Roosevelt : "The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism—ownership of Government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power."

By this definition national socialists are not necessarily fascists. Ironically often liberals themselves support fascist policies and far right fights for national democracy in Europe. :)
