Senate Republicans abandoning Paul Ryan’s budget

Maybe a bit of good news here:

"From the standpoint of a budget, the less words of the English language you use, the better off you are," said Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a senior member of the Budget panel.
When it comes to saving money in Medicare and Medicaid, Grassley said it’s preferable to "just have figures in there" instead of spelling out specific reforms, as Ryan did.

These are non-discretionary programs that they are trying to "budget" for anyway; this is practically impossible as no one can predict how many people are going to become sick or injured or what new procedures or pharma may be developed.

Once a medical bill is submitted by the healthcare provider, its simply paid in accordance with the govt reimbursement schedules.

The fiscal support being provided by these programs is way up and trending higher.
