Fort Russ Team — Are Russians Fighting in Syria?

Are Russians Fighting in Syria? This can mean three things - the Russian government sending soldiers, individual volunteers and experts who 'only' happen to be Russian, or something in between.
Both Flores and 'the Saker' explained that the Russian government was likely not sending soldiers.
Hours after their Sept 1 statements, RT released an official statement confirming that this was Russia's official position.
Same as Ukraine. Russia is countering the US/NATO advance. In a very real sense, Russia and NATO are already at war as the "proxy" war becomes less veiled.

As always, it's tough to get to the bottom of what is going on in the Middle East. Disinformation is the norm.

As the Saker explained, the Russian people do not support foreign wars and the Russian constitution does not allow foreign wars. In that respect Russia is very different than the U.S..

No doubt Russia will continue to supply Syria with materials, a few advisors, and perhaps a few Russian soldiers will volunteer to serve in Syria on their own time.
